Senate Bill 22 - Educational Assistance for Veterans

The “Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2007” is a bill that would establish a program of educational assistance for Armed Forces members who have served after September 11, 2001. It is meant to update the current educational assistance program for veterans, which the sponsorers of the bill believe is outmoded and designed for peacetime service. Senate Bill 723 - Enhancing the GI Bill

August 2007
S.723: The “Montgomery GI Bill Enhancement Act of 2007” would eliminate the $1200 enrollment fee for active duty members of the military that is a condition of the current Montgomery GI Bill. The bill was re-introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) in March 2007. Sen.
