Senate Bill 723 - Enhancing the GI Bill

S.723: The “Montgomery GI Bill Enhancement Act of 2007” would eliminate the $1200 enrollment fee for active duty members of the military that is a condition of the current Montgomery GI Bill. The bill was re-introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) in March 2007. Sen. Hagel introduced similar legislation in the 108th and 109th Congresses, according to a statement from Sen. Hagel’s office. Please see below for full text of bill in pdf format.
